below is a list of life seen inside the compost bin at some time or other since we first started using it
- Earth worms - Addmittedly put there by me when digging up some garden
- Fruit flies
- Little black flies - look like storm flies
- Green bottle flies
- Spiders - differnt breeds but I have not identified the different types
- Slugs
- Snails
- Wasp's - they like feeding on the waste fruit
- Potato - Yes we have had a potato growing through the heap
- Mould
- Beetles
- A Moth

- Tea leaves
- Orange peel & Orange segments
- Apple cores
- banana skins
- potato peelings
- Old potatoes
- Old grapes
- waste cabbage
- Eggs shells
- Grass cuttings

- Parsnip peelings
- Used papaer tissues
- Waste mushrooms
- Dead leaves from the house plants

- Gerotta - composting aid
